Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City offers three tiers of education beginning with The Path, moving to The Journey, and culminating with Leather Quest. These offerings are not freely open to the public. With a need  to protect identity and offer a safe and secure environment for individuals to discover, walk, and embrace their own unique paths, people are first sponsored to The Path, and then subsequently (based on individual growth and potential) invited to The Journey, then Leather Quest

The Path offers weekly classes to established students, graduates, and sponsored students. Topics cover a wide variety of basic technical and safety skill development and application with the intention of providing introductory level instruction on developing interest into skill within the boundaries of what is safe, sane, and consensual.  We also cover what is considered Risk Aware Consensual Kink. For more information on The Path, click here.

The Journey is a “201 and 301” (intermediate) series of classes,  meeting  every other month over twelve months, that builds upon the basics and introduces more advanced topics and theories with the intention of challenging the student to step outside of what they know and broaden their foundations. Some topics covered include communication, working with others (Introductory Group Dynamics), introductory Leather History (to include traditions and values), basic Leather care, planning and organizing events, introductory spiritual studies, discipline, structure, and rites of passage. Leather Quest, formerly known as the Journeyman III Academy, is the pinnacle of the educational system that offers advanced and graduate level coursework spanning 12 months and is intended to ultimately challenge individual growth on physical, mental, emotional, psychological, sociological, cultural, and spiritual levels. Here is where theory and practical skill and knowledge combine with the spirit, testing individual formidability and foundation, challenging growth and pushing individuals well outside of their comfort zone.
